FLINDERSIA collina (Leopard Ash)

A small to medium native tree (up to 10 metres), indigenous to NSW border and inland SE Queensland. This species has a dense, shady canopy, attractive foliage, bears clusters of perfumed white flowers throughout the year, but mainly in Spring, has decorative woody 'star fish' seed pods and a beautiful mottled trunk. Being a member of the citrus family, the flowers have a light citrus perfume. Suitable for home gardens and excellent for screening. It is noted for its adaptability to a wide range of environments and soil types. Also, a cabinet timber tree.
