TRISTANIOPSIS laurina Luscious ‘DOW10’ (Water Gum)

A medium native rainforest tree (7-12 metres) which is an improved form of Tristaniopsis laurina, producing large, shiny green foliage, luscious in appearance, that is nearly double the size of the original Tristaniopsis. A great native alternative to Magnolias and Photinias. It bears perfumed golden yellow flowers in summer which are bird and butterfly attracting, new growth is tinged with copper and the bark is an interesting feature with a striking port colour that peels back to reveal a mottled cream trunk and branches. It is hardy and tolerates frosts, droughts and will grow in a wide range of soils. Suited for street plantings, avenues, hedges, screens or as a shade tree.
